Soooooo, anything interesting going on in K-ville? Just curious. I feel like something should be happening in that town. I'm definitely not suggesting anything... just miss my ole alma mater.

Ok. For those of you who live under rocks, the new Harry Potter is out. I got my, er, Cassie’s copy on the release day (not release hour!) from good ole amazon. You should have seen the lines, CRAZY! 30 yr olds dressed up like wizards along side of 10 yr olds (who were not their kids), the shame. So, what about it? I say the book is really kick ass. Rowling has gotten better every book in my opinion. And what makes this book so great to me is all the KILLING! Man, she must have had a traumatic experience since book 6, because she doesn't hold back the slaughter. I was a little nervous going to bed after reading a few chapters...dolphins make me cry... but needless to say, there is a lot of action. Not to mention, 72.1 million copies sold by Monday. This lady is crazy rich.

Man, I can't help but think tonight... I really miss all of yous guys (and girls). Not Carlos of course, but the rest of you, I'm really sad. The Marcus jokes just arn't the same in text as they are coming from the horse's mouth (Rene usually). I know most people will be semi-close to Kingsville during the Christmas holidays. How kick ass would it be to all meet up and party together again!?! Lend me your comments and suggestions.

So last night, Congress Spent all night going around in circles about iraq. Needless to say, Each minute spent made me lose faith in the American legislative system more and more. Every time a democratic senator spoke, they kept blaming the Republican leadership for the war. That this was George Bush's fault, it was GWB's war, and that it wasn't their fault. Basically, its a perfectly good example of why people say Democrats don't have a backbone. This isn't Geogre W. Bush's war. Sure he was the one who kept pushing for it, but in the end, who voted for it? Who has the power to start and stop a war? Who has the power to pull the troops out? Who has the power to fund the war? CONGRESS.

A little more than a month ago, Congress continued to fund the war, congress decided to CONTINUE THE WAR. It wasn't George W. Bush. What was their excuse? "Oh its because the President Vetoed our Bill." If Mr. Bush Vetoes your Bill then Make another, and if he vetoes that one, then make another, and another, and another, and another, until he realizes that you are not backing down. And if he starts becoming a child then refuse to fund the executive branch. After all, that's what checks and balances is all about. But instead, they took the cowards way out. Instead a little more than a month ago, 80 percent of the Senate voted to continue the Iraq war.

So if you ever hear anyone, including those running for president, point their finger at anyone else. You stare at them right in the eye and say "Bullshit, this war is just as much your fault as it is theirs."

Futbol

I saw my first Soccer game Saturday! It was DC United vs. Dallas. There was some mexican dude a with lazer pointer and shocking wrigleys gum pack fucking with people. Announcments in English and Spanish GOALLLLLLLL!!!!! And fine women all around. I thought the usher was going to have to knock out some woman who didn't want to leave her stolen seat...pendeja. Oh, the game was good too. 3 - 3 tie. No red cards. Next game I'm sittin' with the dudes waving the 20ft flag.

Who is Ethan Haas?

If you have seen the new Transformers movie then you will have seen a trailer that left you looking at the person sitting next to you and asking, "what the hell was that???". What left you in your seats wondering if you have just seen a preview for "The Blairwitch Project 3: Let's try and make a better version of The War Of The Worlds" was actually "Cloverfield" the new something from J.J. Abrahms. Not much is known about it except for it started filming in June, it is a film that may go straight to DVD or TV and it is described as "a giant monster movie (referred internally as “The Parasite”) which is shot using home video cameras from the point of view of real people who are experiencing the attack on New York City."

As of now there have been 2 websites launched and several teasers trailers which can be found on youtube.com. Here is the first teaser...

It's all kind of mysterious right now but it has a HUGE buzz around it. My prediction is this is going to turn out just as disappointing as the whole Lost online saga.
