Awkwarrrrrrrd....

There are little things more awkward than when you are at the mall and you run into an ex-girlfriend, or an old friend you said you would keep in touch with, or a girl who you were friends with until you got really drunk one night called her and asked her and she rejected so you never really talked to her again. Yeah this happened to me today. And I'm talking to this girl and I'm thinking this could not get any worse. Then as I walked away from her, hopefully to never see her again, I thought "It could have been worse". This is how it could have been worse.

Me: Hi. How are you? How have you been?
Girl: Good. Good. What are you doing here in the women's section of Dillards?
Me (emberrased): Yeah I'm here with my mom. Hey are you still working at the telemarketing place?
Girl: Yeah- And are you working?
Me: No. I'm currently unemployed but I am looking.
Girl: Well I'm sure you will find one with the college degree you must have by now.
Me: No, I uh haven't graduated yet. So Hey did your teenaged brother really get a girl pregnant and join the army?
Girl: Yes. Hey do you still get drunk and call girls?
Me: No not really. (just loud enough for other people to hear) Hey so do you still smoke pot and get venereal diseases?
