This is how i've always felt about halo
thank you Yahtzee for finally putting it in words for me.
“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race” -- Calvin Coolidge

Yeah, multiplayer is pretty much the main reason to buy the Halo games, because the multiplayer is hella fun. I gave up on the single player in Halo 2 (which I admittedly did not own) because I got tired of the levels where I played as the alien and had to fight hundreds of those head crab things. The headcrab things were the most annoying thing of Halo 1 and they decided to lengthen Halo 2 by making you play against those head crab things a lot more only as an Alien who for some reason had way inferior weapons (besides the sword).
I mean if you are going to be an alien race with laser weapons and shit and you plan on coming to earth and taking over make sure your laser weapons are better than earth's weapons which compared to laser weapons should be the equivalent of trying to win the war with rocks.
