We need a good debate
Our Government is one of the most mediocre governments to date really, current events show that the people in charge are inept and are not capable of doing the task that was handed to them. There are much better governments in other countries that this government should emulate. It should also stop relying its economy on oil and start focusing on hydropower, as well on biomass. Nuclear power shouldn't really make a come back because we don't really want another three mile island again.

I was with you until the nuclear power thing. The truth is that nuclear power is much safer these days than back in the days of three mile island. It is an energy source that we should take more advantage of but the stupid politicians are too scared to suggest because they know people will have pictures of chernobyl in their heads. Japan has the most nuclear power plants in the world and they are the ones who went through Hiroshima and Nagasaki so if they can get over their nuclear fears we should be able to.

There were other countries who started relying on nuclear power, but decided it was too unsafe, e.g. they decided to rely on biomass and hydropower. You also forget that its not just the possibility of an accident, there's also the ongoing problem is discarding radioactive waste, and although seldom, there are still cases of growing rates of leukemia in children who live close to nuclear power plants. and finally, there's always the possibility of a terrorist attack on a nuclear power plant.
Anyway, Sweden plans to phase out Nuclear power by 2010 and rely solely on hydropower and biomass, there must be some reason why they're the second best place to live.
and i still think that germany will one day be powered by the sole power of fat people.
3 fat peole = a lot of power for all of germany
