“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race” -- Calvin Coolidge

I heard about this...i still don't know how to feel about it.
damn... more like i-pod, psp and everything else
problems i see right off the bat
1.- blue screen of death
2.- probably expensive as hell
well it looks like its supposed to be an add-on device like an ipod rather than a stand-alone like a tablet pc so if they want it to succeed like that then they will definately have to keep the price low (at least within ipod range with maybe varying prices based on storage capacity). I mean everything that this thing seems to be able to do can really be done on other things with some work by the user (psp, ipod, nintendo ds, and palms) so if they really want to compete they will have to price it well.
I just found out that the "official" announcement for whatever this device is is on march 2nd. So I guess we'll find out some new info then.
also, i doubt you'll ever get a blue screen, when's the last time you got a blue screen on an XP OS?
Don’t be dumb ren by blue screen of death i meant it will be released with errors of some kind. Remember the problems with the XBOX and XBOX 360??
Microsoft can't afford to make those mistakes again, and if it wants to compete with the apple ipod, it has to make a product that is stable enough to run without a blue screen. Second, from what i've seen, the origami seems to be designed to easily connect to computers, which is probably(although has not been said) also being co-designed with the new Vista OS. Which from what i've read, is a lot more stable-kernel wise. Although, a lot of the time, when a product comes out too fast, problems will insue, ergo PS2, XBOX, and XBOX 360. But you cannot say that they will have problems right out of the bat, when you do not know the decisions that they have made, therefore you are the one who is mentally handicapped.
it was a satirical comment mr smarty
u know like assuming a company is gonna fuck up when we don't know for sure just to poke fun at it??
remember haha jeje. funny....
that is alot like the pda that i got... only with a bigger screen. ='(... if i knew that was coming out, i would have held out. damn...
