Here goes something...
I know I haven't posted in a while. I feel like getting political today. Here are my favorite two political stories of the moment.
I was awake when the London bombings first appeared on the news. I wasn't able to sleep that night and as I was finally falling asleep the ABC News music played. I felt sad for the people who died and I wondered what the reaction was going to be from the London public. Turns out they had an awesome reaction. You see Londoners are used to people trying to kill them. They are in the thick of it. In World War 2 they had air raids. They've had bombings from every terrorist organization under the sun. They're used to this. So when it happened most of them said a little prayer for the families of the dead and wounded then said "Right then. How about a pint?". Seriously. Check THIS site out for proof. Meanwhile Fox is wondering "Why do European countries let so many Muslims into their countries?" O'Reilly recently said this "Breeds this kind of contempt for western society." Apparently the answer to terrorism is to stop letting muslims into our country.
The other interesting story is that one of President Bush's top officials might have leaked out the identity of a secret cia operative. This started when the CIA sent a former ambassador by the name of Joseph Wilson to investigate whether Iraq bought nuclear materials from Africa. wilson came back and told the CIA, and the president's administration that no this did not happen. Later in a state of the union address Bush told the american people that Iraq was trying to get nuclear materials from africa. Basically he lied. Or he did not tell the truth. It is had to know which. Wison then wrote an article for the New York Times saying that this was not true and that he told people that it wasn't true. As an answer to this a columnist by the name of Robert Novack reported that Wilson had gotten the job thanks to his "operative" wife, Valerie Plume. Now it is illegal to knowingly reveal the name of an undercover operative. So an investgation started over who revealed to Novack and several other reporters this information. A reporter from TIME magazine came forward last week and revealed that one of his sources was Karl Rove. For those of you who don't know Karl Rove is he is the guy responsible for gettin Bush into office. He was his main campaign strategist and one of Bush's top people. He has been called Bush's brain and the "Architect of the administration". But even he can not access this information either. Someone had to give it to him. So this can go farther up. i wonder how we would react if it were to happen in mexico. you see, now they are saying that "operacion condor" (or something like that) is going to be implemented to stop these sorts of attacks against mexicans. this was said by fox. i guess he forgot that we are NEUTRAL!
anyho, i think we would be like: "e wey! no dieron en la madre! pinche barbones hediondos de caca! se los va a llevar la verga camaradas, aki nosotros somos la mera vena! viva mexico cabrones!" and then indulge in alcohol while we watch our soccer team play.
