Retention Rate
At yesterdays inservice, which Checo and I attended we sat down with President Juarez, Dean Bravermen, and Tom Jackson. A topic of conversations which seemed to have been very important to them was, how to increase the retentinon rate of Tamuk. Plz post any ideas you may have, i personally am going to make surveys which i will distribute to each RA accordinlgy and in turn each Resident for each to fill respectivly. I will then procced to gather up the information and submit this to Dean of students. This can include anything this University is missing which could entice students to stay. Ty gtg bye

I don't think there is very much we can do about the retention rate. For most people this place is just a stop on their way to somewhere else. Especially in non-Engineering majors where I would guess most of the retention problems are. Other than engineering and Ag this school isn't really good at anything else. Even our sports teams are only in division 2 or something like that so our kines majors try to go somewhere else. So I think that if its money thats the problem then maybe we should rethink this whole having standards for acceptance thing. I'm pretty sure that was a measure that was taken to fight the retention problem but it didn't work.

i think because this school lacks spirit. there is nothing in it that really makes me proud of it, other than knowing that im going to leave soon. if they could invest on more events, cooler ones, to cater to all crows this would be different. like putting a large screen out on the quad and showing the movies there while people lay down on the floor on mats. or bring actual good bands, or do more events, such as the talent show. that one brought a lot of people. what else, change the people who write the south texan and put less retarded writers on it who dont bitch about constantine (pinche joto de mierda el que escribio malas resenas de eso). just make more enevts to show people that the school cares and tries to make the stay in this town more pleasant.
