“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race” -- Calvin Coolidge

Dude so this is what it finally took to get me to post... damn... ok if u don't belive there should be a limit to freedom then u don't belive in justice. it's the oldest paradox of gov't freedom vs justice. think about that one for a while or save yourself the time and take a university level gov't course.
hay checo checo checo checo checo,
to some people, freedom is justice. What you mean is freedom and security, that's the greatest paradox. People believe that without security there can be no freedom. Well I disagree. People believe that government is a tool that keeps man from hurting man. When actually, it's coercive institutions have made government what is hurting man. Society can still prosper with freedom and lack of government, or at least an institution that governs least. Many indigenous tribes were anarchist and prospered greatly without the use of government, the sioux people were actually anarchist. They were depicted as mindless savages in american propaganda books early on to support democracy. Also, anarchism is not just total chaos with no government and no society and all the spooky words that they have taught you in school or pop culture. In anarchism, coercive government institutions don't work, there is still society, there are still schools, and work, and economy, and there are still codes of conduct. the only thing missing is a government complex harrassing its own people. As for the freedom and security paradox, I'd rather have freedoms over security. I don't want to be harassed by people who seem to think that I have drugs, or Because I look like i could hurt someone. Also, when we're giving up the rights that our forefathers, yeah, the guys who fought to get this country, were bitching about not getting from the royal government, that kinda says something about us. Even complete and total democracy was supposed to be a form of government that would not allow the government to become too powerful, at the same time not allow businesses to become too powerful. Basically I'm rambling on.
freedoms over security,
the joke still stands....
i'm not even going to bother...
im here and both of them are arguing
its cool
:D
cheers
