Angel's Bitchings are back... (available while supplies last)

Well as some of you have already known, for the past year I've been living in Houston and I've gathered a few more experiences that I would like to bitch about. Now don't get me wrong I loved living in the US, it was a lot of fun and I met some really great people and made a lot of amazing friends. Not to mention all the different types of food I tried. I would also like to make a note that I bitch about everything and not just the US, but I like to bitch about things that everybody has experienced in order for it to be funny.
Well during my stay in Houston I bumped into all sorts of funny questions or comments people would say. Like for instance:
"You're Mexican?"
"I bet you don't want to go back"
"How come you're so white?"
and so on...
I also like to think of my stay here as showing people the truth about Mexico and that it is not as bad as they think.
One of the things that ticked me off though was the fact that people call this country "America". While I was working in the Emergency Room one of the nurses answered a phone call and the person calling was speaking in spanish, and the nurse says "this is America... We speak english here". That really pissed me off. Now on a side note it also pisses me off that there are people that have been living in the US for many years and THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO SPEAK ENGLISH. I mean WHAT THE HELL!!! I'm not even a US citizen and I know how to speak english. And not just that NOOOO, they demand for people to speak their language. That's stupid
Anywho... So the nurse says "this is America"... Well last time I checked America is a fucking CONTINENT not a country. And wait wait it get's better.... IT'S TWO CONTINENTS... NORTH America and SOUTH America.
Here's another thing that pisses me off... Where do people get the idea that Mexico is part of SOUTH America!!!! HAVE THEY EVER HEARD OF THE FUCKING EQUATOR!!!
And no ladies and gentlemen THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS CENTRAL AMERICA!!!
So even though this may be a little shocking because we may not be a first world county... We are still part of North America.
So think twice before you say "American citizen" because that's not very specific.

When you algebraically manipulate an equation your moving stuff from one side of the equator to the other. :)
Angel, we need to hang out. My bitchings about "America" could fill a book. I actually made someone cry the other weekend by pointing out how ignorant most US citizens are.

I have a question for all of you. Explain to me why you let "US idiots","US Americans who just said stupid shit", "That dumb whore", "she is dumb enough to not know" and a "stupid nurse" get on your “last” nerve.
Seriously why do you let stupid ignorant fucks make you angry. If you let "dumb ass" get on your nerves What happens? Let me tell you what happens. Nothing happens.
Now I am NOT saying we should ignore the problem but maybe and alternative means to approach the problem. Now what I am about to suggest as an alternative could potentially never work. Reason being that we are dealing with , as previously suggested, morons and getting a moron to understand something is usually more work that its worth. However, if we are working under the premise that it’s worth more than the work to complete such task. Then how can we become part of the solution.
“If we are not part of the solution then we are part of the problem”.
Getting angry about it in no way is being part of the solution. I challenge YOU to challenge that individual and no Crystal I don’t mean make them cry either, by scaring or demeaning an individual that causes us to become no better than them. I challenge you to proactively approach the situation. By standing up to the individual, doing what’s “right” and finally letting go and forgiving that individual.
I would also like to point out. That solution above is not in any means directed at any one race. Every race is racist towards other races. Please think back and let me know how many times you have heard or said the following. “Pinches Gringos” blah blah blah blah. Or how many times you have heard the word “Cracker”. I am sure most of you have sen the movie “Crash”. So ill just leave it at that.

You could have approached the nurse and said. Hi my name is Angel Sierra (your name with accent for more dramatic effect). I was listening to your conversation on the phone and I wanted to offer my help so that next time an individual calls this hospital and you cannot understand what they are saying. Please do us all a favor and get a hold of me. I believe it is our duty as medical experts to provide help to anybody regardless of race, color or national origin. Make sure you don’t say this in public as to embarrass her. Then walk away and (this is the most important part) LET GO, FORGET ABOUT IT. Do not act weird about it, do not act weird around her, act as if nothing happened. If you act like there was a problem you have just created and awkward working environment.
I am not suggesting that this act will in the future fix her behavior but at the very least. You have taken a proactive approach. Next time the situation arises she will think twice about who is listening and possibly go find you to help her understand another individual.
On a side note:
I was reading a book and I this book I read something that struck me. I would like everybody to grab a sheet of paper and a pen or pencil. No joke, “just do it” as a favor to this guy once knew. Grab a sheet of paper and a pen. Now on this paper I want you to draw a circle. Inside the circle write “My circle of influence”. Solving the world problems is not in our circle of influence. If any of you feel that solving the worlds problems is in your circle of influence please do Neto and I a favor and come fix my air conditioning. Point is that if something is not within your circle of influence. Don’t worry about it. Why not begin by working on those things you can influence first? As you work on those things your circle will grow.
All we can do is be people of principal, great character and morals by influencing those around us through “random acts of kindness”. I believe we can control our own behavior through our actions and directly influence our principles and morals.
I feel like a huge hypocrite with everything I just wrote above. But mind you behaving like this is my goal.

I feel like somebody here just watched I Heart Huckabees. Getting annoyed with stuff and ranting is entertainment and awesome. I hope angel continues with it. It's humankind's way of venting, and if you can vent to friends and get it all out then it bothers you less and makes you feel better.
I will not draw a circle of influence!! Fuck that. We're not testing my artistic skills here. It'll take me hours to draw a circle of correct curvature and diameter.
You know what makes me angry?! Big trucks. Can i get a "what, what!" on this?! I fucking hate trucks and the douchebags who drive them. Sorry for the cussing.
I also hate these damn captchas when the put letters close together like wvwvw and i can't tell what's what.

I hate white trucks they tend to make me angrier than any color. If you think this is silly look out for it. While you are driving. 8 times out of 10 its a white truck pissing you off.
